Dimakatso Qocha – BOARD MEMBER

Dimakatso Qocha is an experienced ICT policy and regulation specialist.  She is currently a Councillor of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).  Her vast experience covers legal drafting, policy and regulatory analysis, negotiations, regulatory compliance as well as corporate governance.  Dimakatso’s journey in ICT began when she joined Sentech as Specialist: Policy and Licensing.  She then joined the National Association of Broadcaster (NAB) as Deputy Director with responsibility for broadcasting policy and regulations.  Dimakatso serves on several boards and councils, one of which was the Final Appeals Committee of the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa.  Dimakatso holds an LLB degree obtained from the National University of Lesotho. She was admitted as an Advocate in 2006. She possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Interpretation and Drafting of Contracts, obtained from the University of Johannesburg.
